This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the roller type blood pump with electric motor as power source, hereinafter, referred to as \"blood pump\", among the blood pumps of cardiopulmonary bypass devices with extra corporeal circulatory function for the purpose of life support mainly during cardiotomy.
