This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the ophthalmometers which indicate the radii of curvature, directions of principal meridians, and corneal refracting powers, assuming the front surface of cornea of human eye as a toric surface, measuring radii of curvature of principal meridians of cornea and directions of principal meridians of cornea by its reflected images, and obtaining the corneal refracting powers from the values of radii of curvature by operation
