This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the personal face protectors for welding to protect the eye of workers using together with a filter plate and a cover plate specified in JIS T 8141 from ultraviolet radiation and infrared radiation, and intense visible radiation hazardous to eyes which are generated when welding, thermal cutting, etc. are carried out and to protect the front face of face area, and head and neck area from the danger of injury such as arc, spatter, etc.
