This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the oxygen indicator/alarm to be used for the detection, monitoring and alarm inside of underground structures such as wells, vertical shafts, tunnels, pneumatic caissons, pits, manholes, septic tanks, closed conduits, cellars, underground rooms, etc., ground level structures such as tanks, boilers, reaction towers, hoppers, silos, warehouses, etc. and ship's holds liable to oxygen deficiency. Further, the working temperature range for oxygen indicator-alarm specified in this standard shall be 0 centigrade degrees to 40 centigrade degrees.
