This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies electric wheelchairs, whose maximum speed is not exceeding 6 km/h, including self-operated standard type, self-operated handle type and self-operated adjustable seat position type attaching reclining and lifting system of electric wheelchairs defined in Annex 1 Type classification of electric wheelchairs. Excluding the electric wheelchairs intended for indoor use only and for outdoor use only.
