Method of measurement for hydrogen evolved from steel welds

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method of measurement by gas chromatographic method and glycerol displacement method of diffusive hydrogen, hereinafter referred to as the \"hydrogen\" evoled from steel welds by shielded metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, and, gas shielded metal arc welding. However, when hydrogen oer deposited metal measured by glycerol displacement method is not more than 2 ml/100 g, gas chromatographic method shall apply.
