Significance test of difference between the two population means (standard deviations known, one-sided)
English

08-05-2025
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies, in the case where the standard deviations of two populations are known, the techniques to test whether or not it can be said that one population mean differs from (is either larger or smaller than) the other population mean on the basis of the measured values obtained from each of the populations (or the lots thought to represent the population) (standard deviations of the populations known, one-sided test). This method for test specifies only when the sample sizes of two sets are equal, and , when not equal, it is shown for reference.
