Significance test of difference between the two population means (standard deviations known, two-sided)
English
30-06-1979
08-05-2025
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies, in the case where the standard deviations of two populations are known, the techniques to test whether or not it can be said that there exists a difference between one population mean and the other population mean, on the basis of the measured values obtained from each of the populations (or the lots thought to represent the population) (standard deviation of the populations known, two-sided test). This method for test specifies only when the sizes of two sets of sample are equal, and, when being not equal, it is shown for reference.
