Significance test of equality of the two population variances (one-sided)
English
25-10-1982
08-05-2025
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the significant test method to determine whether it can be said that the variance of one population differs from (is either greater or smaller than) that of the other on the basis of the measured values obtained from each population (or from the lot that can be considered to represent it well) (one-sided significance test). The text of this standard describes the significance test method for the case where two sets of samples are equal in size and that for the case where they are unequal in size in Reference appended to the end of this standard.
