This document covers body armor which provides military personnel protection against fragmentation. This is a special purpose Life Support Clothing and Equipment (LSC&E) item. All Government administrative and surveillance procedures applicable to LSC&E items shall be envoked in accordance with the contract or purchase order (see 6.2).
