This document covers a coat and trousers that provides chemical protection and flame resistance to military personnel. This is a special purpose Life Support Clothing and Equipment (LSC&E) item. All Government administrative and surveillance procedures applicable to LSC&E items shall be invoked in accordance with the contract or purchase order (see 6.2).
