This specification covers a frame mounted gasoline-engine-driven, air compressor for producing air suitable for breathing. Only commercial vendors approved by the Naval Sea Systems Command (Code OOC), Alexandria, VA. are to provide the subject unit. The Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) equipment list, NAVSEA Instruction 10560.2 shall be used when procuring the unit and repair/replacement parts. No variation or substitute is permitted due to critical life support nature of the unit.
