This specification covers the requirements, examinations and tests for a Computer, Range CP-888A/VPS-2A, hereinafter referred to as the computer. The computer is a part of Radar Set AN/VPS-2A. The radar set range computer generates range and test data based on the signals received from the receiver. The range computer then transmits this information to the fire control processor whereit is used in solving the fire control problem. The radar set range computer contains a built-in-test circuit assembly for signal monitoring and fault isolation (see 6.1).
