This specification establishes the minimum requirements for the procurement of a single wire splice connector, DL 5545977. The connector joins the shipboard guidance wire to the torpedo guidance wire and maintains electrical continuity in seawater to a pressure of 1500 psig. The connector will accept wire sizes from AWG 25 to AWG 23 and is of one type and class.
