This specification covers forged aluminum alloy armor, die forgings from 3/4 inch up to and including 3 inches in thickness for type I, class A forgings, and from 3/4 inch up to and including 4 inches for type I, class B forgings. Type II forging thicknesses should be as specified (see 6.2).
