This specification covers several 8 cylinder, V-type, liquid-cooled, 2-stroke-cycle, turbo-supercharged, internal-combustion, compression ignition engines for use in military vehicles (see 6.1). The basic design of these engines is very similar and the characteristic differences have been classed as Type I or Type II for the lower or the higher power versions.
