This specification covers the general requirements for military design, gasoline-engine-driven (GED), tactical utility, generator sets (hereinafter referred to as \"sets\" or \"set\") from 0.5 kilowatt (kw) through 10 kw, 60 Hertz (Hz), 400 Hz, and 28 volt direct current (VDC). The general characteristics of the sets are described in MIL-STD-633 (see 6.3).
