This specification covers high-temperature grease (type HTG) for the lubrication of ball and roller bearings, primarily for lubricating class H-insulated (silicone) electric motors with heat-stabilized ball bearings. It is also used for boiler sliding feet grease lubrication. The normal temperature range of the grease is -18 to 149 °C (0 to 300 °F).
