This specification covers nonskid systems, coatings, and coverings for application to weather
decks, flight decks, and hangar decks of aircraft carriers, surface combatants, and amphibious,
auxiliary, and sealift ships, and submarines. Coatings are applied to steel, aluminum, and special
hull treatment surfaces by spraying, rolling, or order application method as designated by the manufacturer of the nonskid systems.
