This specification covers accelerated, room temperature curing synthetic rubber compounds used in the sealing and coating of metal components on weapons and aircraft systems for protection against corrosion. The Class 1 sealing compound is effective over a continuous operating temperature range of ¿65° to +250° F (¿54° to +121° C). The Class 2 sealing compound is effective over a continuous operating temperature range of ¿80° to +320° F (¿62° to +160° C).
