Provides a written description of various surface finishes for new steel centrifugally blast cleaned with steel grit and shot. Surface finishes described in the standard include white metal blast cleaned surface finish, near white metal blast cleaned surface finish, commercial blast cleaned surface finish, and brush off blast cleaned surface finish. A visual comparator that complements NACE Standard TM0175 is also available from NACE and provides a handy visual reference that can be used in the field. The visual comparator is comprised of two panels illustrating the four surface finishes as prepared using steel grit and two panels illustrating the four surface finishes as prepared using steel shot.
