    Applicable to internal mixers for plastics and rubber as specified in 3.1. Safety measures and/or requirements defined in this standard apply to all internal mixers irrespective of their size and irrespective of the control modes of the hopper front door and discharge door. Exhaust systems design and ancillary equipment are not covered. Safety requirements for the interaction between internal mixers and ancillary equipment are defined. Covers significant hazards listed in Clause 4. This standard does not apply to internal mixers which are manufactured before the date of publication of this standard by CEN.
