Defines the requirements and test procedures for construction, safety and marking of direct gas-fired washing appliances with or without heat exchanger or spin dryer, for types not in excess of a heat input of 20 kW, and those not exceeding a heat input of 20 kW. Not applicable to catalytic combustion appliances, appliances meant for use in locations with special conditions, eg corrosive or explosive atmosphere or appliances for use in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft. Describes only type testing.
