Applies to test methods for foundations of overhead line structures. Refers to foundations mainly loaded by axial, lateral and a combination of both forces. Does not include tests on reduced scale or model foundations, although they may be useful for design purposes. Dynamic foundation testing is also not included. Gives methods applicable to the investigating of the load-carrying capacity and/or load response of the total foundation as an interaction between the foundation and surrounding soil or rock. Does not cover the mechanical strength of the structural components.
