Defines safety requirements for manufacturers of machines and plant for use in foundries for producing casting in disposable moulds. Considers forseeable significant hazards relating to design, construction and installation which may occur during commissioning, operating, maintaining and decommissioning. Defines preventative measures and verification means for eliminating or reducing these hazards. Also defines requirements for provision of information by the manufacturer to the user regarding safe operation and maintenance.
