NBN EN ISO 1890 : 2009

Defines a method of determining the twist in yarns made from textile glass, carbon or aramid filaments. Applicable to single yarns (one twist), also to folded or cable yarns (two or more twists). Only usually applies to folded and cabled yarns to the final twist step. Applies to package-wound yarns, but not to products manufactured from staple fibres. Only gives an indicative result for yarns taken from a beam (or warp) or from a fabric.
