Annex (informative)
Sets forth guidelines for the preparation of Appendix A for the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDA) for electrodes, filler metals, and fluxes for use in welding and related processes. Intended to assist manufacturers and suppliers in providing accurate and pertinent safety information. Based on U.S. Department of Labor standards, as detailed in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR Part 1910. 1200). Modifications to this basic MSDS format are recommended where they serve to more effectively communicate safety information that is peculiar to welding consumables and processes.
