Bij de keuze van elektrisch materieel moet rekening zijn gehouden met: a) de beschermingsmaatregelen; b) de eisen voor de goede werking bij gebruik overeenkomstig de bestemmingen; c) de uitwendige invloeden en; d) invloed op de omgeving. Elektrisch materieel moet voldoen aan de bepalingen van de desbetreffende internationale normen.
