Deze norm geeft de wijze van aanduiding van werkstukbehandelingen op technische tekeningen. De norm is van toepassing op technische tekeningen van werkstukken welke geheel of gedeeltelijk een behandeling ter verandering van de structuur (bijv. een warmtebehandeling), ter bescherming of ter verfraaiing moeten ondergaan, met uitzondering van organische deklagen.
