Deze norm geeft de eisen voor de opstelling, constructie en de elektrische installatie van trapliften, in verband met de veiligheid. De norm is van toepassing op elektrisch aangedreven trapliften voor het vervoer van personen en goederen over trappen langs een al of niet hellende geleiding, waarbij voor het op- en afstappen en voor het laden en lossen de stoel of het plateau tot stilstand moet word en gebracht.
