Deze norm beschrijft een methode voor de bepaling van het totale gehalte aan kwik in grond met behulp van atomaire-absorptiespectrometrie na ontsluiting met salpeterzuur in een PTFE-destructievat. De koude-damptechniek wordt toegepast. De norm is van toepassing op alle soorten grond met een kwikgehalte hoger dan 0,2 mg/kg droge stof.
