De norm geeft de eisen en bepalingsmethoden voor de volgende stalen stiftvormige verbindingsmiddelen: 1) draadnagels; 2) houtschroeven; 3) houtdraadbouten; 4) schroefbouten, draadeinden en bijbehorende moeren met metrische schroefdraad met grove spoed volgens de hoofdstukken 5 en 6 van NEN 81; 5) stiften. De norm is bedoeld om te worden toegepast op verbindingsmiddelen in bouwconstructies voor zover vervaardigd van hout.
