This standard applies to welding equipment used in making buttwelds and to buttwelds in polythene pipes and fittings with a density ≤ 930 kg/m3 (PE 50) in pipelines for naturalgas with a nominal outside diameter ≥ 63 mm and in pipes for drinking or waste water with an outside diameter ≥ 63 mm.
