Defines the sampling method, dimensions and preparation of test specimens and conditions for performing the tensile test to determine the short-term tensile welding factor. A tensile test may be combined with other tests (e.g. tensile creep, bend, macro,..) for assessing the performance of welded assemblies, made from thermoplastics materials. Applies to co-planar or co-axial welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials unfilled or filled, but not reinforced, regardless of the welding process used.
