Gives advice on writing a technical specification for procurement of natural and mechanical draught dry cooling towers, aircooled condensers and their internals, for electricity power stations, but not for use in nuclear power stations. Applies to water distribution system; supporting frame and footbridges; heat exchangers; winter operating equipment (ie louvres, shutters); noise attenuation apparatus; fan and fan ancillaries; pipework and valves; exhaust steam duct; air extraction system; distribution ducts; and condensate system. Not applicable to water-cooled condensers; chemical and mechanical water treatment; civil work and cooling water pumps and auxiliaries.
