A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Applicable to packages used for transporting medical and biological specimens under the following conditions: 1. The nominal volume of the specimen container(s) is not in excess of 100 ml. 2. With multiple specimens, the total volume of the protective container is not in excess of 500 ml. 3. The specimen does not contain any infectious substances or a low probability of infectious substances, ie for initial diagnosis or for routine screening.
