Defines a method for determination of the apparent interlaminar shear strength of fibre-reinforced plastic composites using the short-beam procedure. Intended to be used with fibre-reinforced plastic composites with a thermoset or thermoplastic matrix, if interlaminar shear failure is obtained. Unsuitable for determining design parameters, but may be used for screening materials or as a quality-control test.
