Deze Euronorm betreft het controleren van meettoestellen voor hardheidsmeting volgens Vickers, zoals beschreven in Euronorm 5 "Hardheidsmeting van staal volgens Vickers". In deze Euronorm worden twee methoden beschreven: - de directe methode: methode waarbij het mogelijk is de voornaamste functies van het meettoestel te controleren, - de indirecte methode: methode voor het controleren van het meettoestel met behulp van ijkblokken, die ook wordt toegepast bij de routinecontroles van de in gebruik zijnde meettoestellen.
