Deze EURONORM geldt voor plaat en band uit austenitische corrosievaste staalsoorten, in dikten tot en met 20 mm en in de leveringstoestanden volgens punt 6.2 met eisen aan de kerftaaiheid bij -196 graad C. De staalsoorten zijn in het algemeen bestemd voor de vervaardiging van drukvaten met zeer lage bedrijfstemperaturen.
