Deze EURONORM geldt voor ongelegeerd en gelegeerd stalen walserij- en smederijproducten voor algemene machine- en voertuigbouw, die gewoonlijk na veredeling en daarop volgende vlam- of inductieharding worden gebruikt. De norm beperkt zich tot de gebruikelijke afmetingen voor staal voor vlam- en inductieharden. Voor grotere doorsneden dienen bij de bestelling bijzondere voorwaarden te worden overeengekomen.
