Dit National Application Document (NAD) geeft richtlijnen voor het gebruik in Nederland van NVN-ENV 1992-1-4 Eurocode 2 - Ontwerp en berekening van betonconstructies - Deel 1-4: Algemene regels - Lichtbeton met gesloten structuur, alsmede de voor Nederland geldende waarden van de in NVN-ENV 1992-1-4 gegeven omkaderde waarden ("boxed values") van parameters. Bouwconstructies volgens NVN-ENV 1992-1-4 en dit NAD mogen geacht worden het zelfde niveau van veiligheid en bruikbaarheid te bezitten als ingevolge 5.3 van NEN 6700. In grote lijnen kan deze combinatue als alternatief gebruikt worden voor NEN 6720 (VBC 1995) in combinatie met CUR aanbeveling 39. NEN 6720 en CUR aanbeveling 39 zijn niet vervallen.
