De voornorm is van toepassing op de bepaling van de concentratie aan benzeen in werkpleklucht, en is bruikbaar voor een concentratiegebied van 1 tot 150 mg/m[3] bij het bemonsteren van 12 l lucht in 8 h (debiet 25 ml/min) of voor een concentratiegebied van 3 tot 300 mg/m[3] bij het bemonsteren van 1,5 tot 3 l lucht in 15 min (debiet 100-200 ml/min).
