De voornorm is van toepassing op de bepaling van de concentratie aan styreen in werkpleklucht en is bruikbaar voor een concentratiegebied van 1 tot 2000 mg/m[3] bij het bemonsteren van 5 l lucht in 1 tot 8 h (debiet >= 10 ml/min) of voor een concentratiegebied van 3 tot 3000 mg/m[3] bij het bemonsteren van 1,5 tot 3 l lucht in 15 min (maximaal debiet 200 ml/min).
