Coves the requirements for the medium dependent physical formats to be used for all data recording on board Ships and Submarines for In Service Operational Use. It excludes Naval Aviation, Marine Engineering Systems, and the need for loading software into a weapons system. It is applicable to Surface Ships, Submarines and Weapons Systems Equipment.
