Defines the airborne noise tests to be applied to any equipment or machinery at the prototype stage, first off of each production order, subsequent units of a production order and on refit or repair of a unit. Excludes Whistles, hooters, bells and gongs used under the International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea, but includes the machinery supplying energy to these warning devices. Also excludes weapon firings by means of explosive or rocket.
