Cette Norme Européenne décrit deux méthodes pour la détermination des propriétés en traction des feuilles d'étanchéité de toiture plastiques et élastomères: La méthode A, basée sur l'EN ISO 1421, est la méthode préférée, à utiliser pour tous les matériaux. Si la méthode A n'est pas applicable au matériau, c'est-à-dire si le matériau ne se rompt pas, la méthode B, basée sur l'ISO 37 peut être utilisée pour déterminer les propriétés en traction.
