Annex A (informative) Preferred values of d for the
characterization of X-ray tube types
Defines measuring of focal spot dimensions of industrial X-ray systems up to 500 kV tube voltage. A procedure is outlined for direct mechanical scanning of focal spots higher than 0,1 mm having a highly collimated receiver. Resolution and image quality are dependent upon features of a focal spot, especially the size and two dimensional intensity distribution.
