Defines the sampling method, dimensions, preparation of test specimens, and conditions for performing the low temperature tensile test perpendicular to the weld, to determine the low temperature tensile welding factor. Low temperature tensile tests may be combined with other tests (e.g. tensile creep, bend, macro..) to assess performance of welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials. Applies to co-planar and co-axial welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials unfilled or filled but not reinforced, regardless of the welding process used.
