This European Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for fast pyrolysis bio-oils for use in industrial boilers (greater than 1 MW thermal capacity) and not in domestic boilers. It specifies two different quality levels. It is recommended to highlight existing differences, particularly in terms of properties that may impact the required flue gas treatment system, such as ash, nitrogen and sulfur contents. Local and national regulations set the applicable requirements in terms of flue gas treatment system
