La présente norme européenne concerne les chariots automoteurs et les chariots à conducteur accompagnant manuels et semi-manuels et spécifie des exigences supplémentaires relatives aux chariots de manutention appartenant au groupe de matérie. Il et aux catégories de matériel 2G, 3G, 2D et 3D, respectivement, y compris leurs dispositifs de monte-charges comme défini en Annexe A. La présente Norme européenne traite des prescriptions techniques nécessaires pour éviter ou réduire les risques spécifiques listés à l'Article 4 pouvant survenir pendant l'utilisation normale et la maintenance ou le mauvais usage prévisible des chariots de manutention (conformément aux indications données par le fabricant ou son mandataire).
